What makes Nancy stand out is her attentiveness to any question you ask her. There is always follow up on her part. She would ask me questions about my case history while I was on her floor and it helped me remember what had been going on the weeks prior to my admittance into the ER. This was important since my case evolved the longer I was at the hospital.
When a doctor would give me more detailed information about my condition, Nancy would then fully explain it with the intense interest of helping me understand what was going on. If she didn't know the answer to something (which was rare), she found out and actually got back to me. In one instance at the end of her shift, there was a problem and rather than clocking out, she took action to find out what was wrong, following through until we had an answer to the situation. She is kind, compassionate and caring.
Nancy took this same attitude with her teammates. She was always willing to help her team whenever they asked, and I suspect even without them asking. No matter how busy she was, she was always willing to assist her co-workers. She would always say "is there something you would like me to do before I leave" and she would take care of it before she left the room.
While all of the nurses and aides were good, there was just something incredibly sincere about Nancy's attitude and demeanor. I could tell that she and her teammates worked well together.
Nancy Herrejon is always at her best when caring for patients. It has been verbalized by her manager to me while making his rounds; that many patients and coworkers have shared that she is great. She treats you like a member of her family and makes sure all of your needs are met. She makes you feel like she will never leave your side until she knows she has taken care of things. Los Robles is very fortunate to have her on their staff, I am grateful I have been on the receiving end of her care. I can honestly say she is the best nurse I've EVER had!
