My 5 year old son is here today for an MRI with sedation. Upon entering her unit, she introduced herself as nurse Nancy when I thought was very kid friendly. My son was suffering from a migraine at the time and she was so quick with getting him to the back and comfortable. He began vomiting which was so uncomfortable for him, but she made him feel as if it were nothing. She quickly got him orders for nausea medication and just talked so sweetly and gently with him that he didn’t feel bad about getting sick. She kept things so quiet and spoke so gently. She really made my husband and I feel at ease when they took him back for the procedure. It feels so good to be at a facility where “compassion” for both young patient and parents feel safe when having to depart from each other.
P.S. Only to find out she is here at this location on “loan” from Beech Grove hospital. She is incredible!
