I met Naomi for the first time for an in-office procedure in the gynecology oncology department in the Woman’s center. She was very caring, respectful, courteous, and took the time in explaining my post-procedure care. I met Naomi a second time at the same location stated earlier. I had a consultation appointment with a medical doctor who recommended scheduling an operating room procedure. Naomi came to review the procedure with me and to sign the consent forms. She then said that someone will call me in 2-3 days to schedule an appointment. I thanked her. I then mentioned that I live 5 hours away and if possible can I have an appointment as soon as possible in order to plan my travel and work schedule? Naomi then said she will speak with the scheduler and for me to wait in the waiting room.

In less than an hour, Naomi informed me that I can have the procedure the next day. I was very grateful and happy about the schedule. I felt heard and understood by Naomi. She put my best interest first by seeing me as a person and not someone with a medical condition. Naomi exemplified compassion, integrity, excellence, collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and service with a sense of urgency!
