Their willingness to talk with me greatly helped me keep my mind off my discomfort and pain.
An angel (also known as a nurse) took care of me after my ablation for AFib. I was not the typical patient. I was suffering side effects from the anesthesia and TMJ from their forcing my mouth open during the procedure. The accompanying headache was the worst I had ever experienced. The nurse on duty for the night got me through the worst night of my life. The pain was so bad that I couldn't eat. All I could do was sip water to ease the pain in my throat, resulting in needing to use the bathroom often. But because of Vertigo, I couldn't do this alone. They handled me gently and were so compassionate, kind, and sympathetic. They were very reassuring and took such good care of me. They answered all my questions with a soothing response to all my concerns. Their willingness to talk with me greatly helped me keep my mind off my discomfort and pain. They also did everything they could to keep me as comfortable as possible.
