Natalie always had a listening ear throughout my stay. She was so compassionate and understanding of my situation.
I came into the ER suffering from a miscarriage and a large amount of blood loss. From the time I arrived to my room, I was scared and alone due to COVID, missing my husband during one of the most difficult times of my life. Natalie was my nurse and came into my room, making sure to introduce herself. She comforted me, allowed me to talk, and to ask a million questions. Natalie always had a listening ear throughout my stay. She was so compassionate and understanding of my situation.
I also suffer from anxiety disorder and the only thing keeping me “together” and “calm”, was my care team. She went above and beyond with every request that I had, also making sure to get good test results to me quickly, to ease my anxiety. She offered to arrange for me to speak with a Social Worker to help me go through such a difficult time. I feel like this is so important as many people do not have good support systems. She told me so many times how SHE appreciated ME as a patient! I was in awe because I couldn’t even describe to her in words how she saved me that night when I was so vulnerable, alone, scared and so afraid after my miscarriage. I felt as if I had a family or close friend there on my side, and willing to do whatever it took to be healthy and strong.
She also went above and beyond to get me things that are not in the medical books, such as a phone charger, so I keep my husband updated. I came in bleeding, and had soaked through my pants, and Natalie even managed to find me new pants to wear home. She herself walked me all the out to the exit door where my husband was waiting to pick me up. I never have met someone so compassionate and caring about their patients, and I feel strongly that she is a DAISY Nurse.
