SPC Bierly has dedicated his deployment to working in the ICU without complaint. He works every night without being asked. He has limited experience and stepped up to assist with patient care in the ICU. He took great care of S most nights to allow the ICU nurses to take care of the more acute patients. He has no experience with kids and would bathe S and put him to bed. One particular patient he impressed me with, was H. He took care of the last ICU patient in Role 3 and assisted with his transfer. He was at his bedside watching for changes and opportunities to care for him. That night H woke up mouthing words and phrases and followed commands before transferring him. This is an austere environment to thrive in due to limited experience and SPC Bierly has stepped up and excelled. I commend him for his effort in taking care of each patient.
