Everyone on this unit has done an outstanding job, but I have to say Nichole really shines brightly in a dark, scary place.
I do not even know where to begin. Nichole is truly an angel. My mom had a major surgery lasting over 8 hours. It was such a scary experience for my mother and our family, eagerly waiting all day. When we finally got to see my mom in ENT, Nichole was her nurse. She was so knowledgeable about everything and yet soft and compassionate.
My mom could not talk and had to write on a board. Even though Nichole had so many important things she was watching and caring for to make sure my mom was safe, Nichole took the time to be present and listen to my mom. Nichole even went out of the way to help my family be able to visit and make it so that I could stay the night with my mom. I am a nurse myself with 15 years of experience, most of which is in critical care. I know an excellent nurse! Nichole is it! She was spot on with her skills and technique, yet she was very naturally caring and compassionate. She was in touch with the medical staff, keeping them updated and communicating with my mother and family every step of the way.
I was so relieved when she was the one coming back the next night. It is so reassuring to know your family is being well taken care of by someone who has the skill and heart for what they do. Everyone on this unit has done an outstanding job, but I have to say Nichole really shines brightly in a dark, scary place. Thank you, Nichole! May the Lord bless you abundantly for all you do behind the scenes to help others. You are truly an angel.
