When Nicole walks into the room you can automatically feel her calming presence. She is calm and quiet and that helps relax me. I never feel like she is in a hurry to complete her task and move on. Makes me feel like she values my time as well as her own. She has taken the time to answer all of my questions in a manner that is easy to understand. When giving meds she explains what they are and what they are for, and she takes the extra steps to make sure I understand their purpose and makes sure I understand when the next dose is due. Nicole treats me like I am a person and not just some medical case. I enjoy the time we have together and do not tense up when she is around. I feel confident that I can ask her any questions and she will take the time to answer and if she does not know she will go find the answer and bring it back to me and explain in a manner that makes sense. While being in the hospital life is no picnic, having a person like Nicole helping you makes the stay more tolerable. I feel like not only do I have a quality nurse, I have found a friend.
