I am the great-grandmother of conjoined twins who were successfully separated at CHoP. I came down to help the family and watch the twins post-surgery. They were a year old in November, and the staff from the NICU stopped by with good wishes, as well as the folks in the PICU. I asked L's nurse, Nicole Daily-Kent, where I could get party decorations for everyone to celebrate their first birthday. Nicole insisted that she would take care of getting Bluey decorations for the girls. Nicole did; we had a large Happy Birthday Bluey sign, hats, blowouts, plates, and cupcakes, all in a happy, joyful theme. Nicole went above and beyond for the twins and me and took the time to explain some of the medical terms that were unclear. Nicole always talked to L, cared for her, and put her and me at ease. Some nurses, like Nicole, have some extra "magic" that they share with their patients. Nicole Daily-Kent is outstanding!
