Nicole Dobbs is a Godsend to any cardiac patient but especially to a post op coronary bypass patient. She is truly extraordinary!

I received great care during an unexpected hospitalization for a four vessel coronary artery bypass graft. MVH has wonderful nurses on the HVICU and HV6. All staff were kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Nicole Dobbs was outstanding! She provided a "Patient Experience" beyond my expectations. Her experience, knowledge, confidence and compassion for a post op patient were stellar. She is a good listener, never seemed rushed or distracted, always focusing on my needs. She knows the post op routine well and provides encouragement that is realistic. Nicole addressed and explained things I had not even thought about or knew to ask such as incision healing, showering and skin care at home. She took a very scary moment of pulling pacer wires and made it comfortable by doing it with confidence, gently and explaining all along what to expect.

She seems to be a great resource for her coworkers. She was often being asked for help and for her opinion and guidance with other issues on the unit. Two members of Dr.Z's heart team complimented Nicole when they told me they are always pleased to have her caring for their patients.

She has the ability to connect with people. She shares her experience appropriately and in a positive way to encourage. She provided me with knowledge, compassion, great care, comfort and even protection from "too many" well-intended visitors!
