I would like to personally thank Nicole because I am so appreciative of how she was with my mother and me. I brought my mother to the ED for being weak, high temperature, low blood pressure, anemia, and an infection. Nicole did a great job of explaining everything that she was doing and what test they would be running. During the visit, my mother became short of breath, anxious, and her color turned gray. Nicole quickly reacted and took mom to the bigger room; she moved quickly but still explained to me what they were doing during this scary time for me; Nicole appeared calm which helped keep me calm.
They put mom on the heart monitor, and she had a fast heart rate. The doctor came in and they told me they would have to give her some medicine and shock her to slow the heart rate down; my mother is in her 90's so I was really scared about what was going on with her. Nicole once again, explained what they would be doing and answered my questions that I had. They shocked her and her heart rate went down, her color came back and she was breathing better.
Nicole has such a sweet, caring, compassionate, and evidence of knowing her job and what to do in an emergency situation that we are grateful that she was our nurse this day. Nicole was so attentive to both my mom and me; she took the time to explain in a way we could understand about everything. We have been in the emergency room several times and have had great nurses and we are very appreciative of all of them. This visit was a little bit more intense and Nicole handled the situation very professionally. Thank you, Nicole and the entire ED, for what you do for your patients!
