Nora went above and beyond for our family during our time at NorthBay Fairfield. Nora was patient and calm during her entire shift and frequently checked up on the family. Nora was a natural at following procedures and protocols. Being in the medical field, I know how extensive it can be to keep everyone safe by following proper hand washing hygiene, sterilizing, and keeping a clean workspace. Although Nora was not on shift when our baby arrived, she checked back in with us during her next shift. Nora instantly felt like family to us while she was caring for our family. Thank you, Nora. I went in for the birth of my third child and had the blessing of having Nora as my nurse for two days. I had the kind of birth experience where everything didn’t go quite as planned. Nora was absolutely wonderful at explaining every possible situation to me as it arose. We finally got to the point where I was having steady contractions and it looked like our baby was coming, but there were complications that came about. Nora was doing everything she could to comfort me and help me to give birth how I had hoped, but sadly, we had to go for an emergency c-section. As we were rushed to the OR, she made sure to let me know she was there and wasn’t leaving my side and that I wasn’t alone while my husband changed to come in. She went above and beyond with her job and her ability to keep me informed and comforted at the same time. Her job requires such a special person to do. I am beyond grateful for being able to have her both days I was in labor. She was my angel on earth, making sure my baby and myself were safe during the process. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for me and my family. She is absolutely wonderful.
