I want to nominate Norilyn Ang (Boomy) for the DAISY Award for more reasons than one can list. Not only does she demonstrate clinical excellence but she lives and breathes compassion, teamwork, and fun. As an RN and clinical coordinator, she is not only the facility's clinical backbone but also the glue that holds unifies the patients and teammates together. She creates an environment that is desirable for teammates to work in and patients to feel safe in. She is able to spot a teammate or patient in need from just the corner of her eye and runs to their aid without hesitation. Despite being busy with her job, she plans fun activities for holidays and team building. She goes out of her way to celebrate birthdays for every patient and teammate, making them feel special. Having an RN like Norilyn makes a meaningful difference in our clinic. Norilyn deserves recognition and to feel as special as she makes everyone else around her feel.
