Norma has a way about her that connects with her patients. She recently had a Spanish-speaking patient who was embarrassed and terrified of her new diagnosis. Norma translated for and comforted the patient with the APP. They spent 2.5hrs with this patient, well past closing time. No complaints about the time. The patient was never rushed. Norma took all the time needed; the patient not only smiled when she left but also hugged them. Norma doesn’t work in healthcare for any other reason than she truly cares about the patients. She deserves a DAISY Award because she so often goes above and beyond for the patients.
