Nyla makes me feel part of the University family.
I just experienced a traumatic car accident. Rear-ended at 60mph, with several fractured ribs, and vertebrae, airborne car for 50 feet over the guard rail, spinning 180 degrees, and landing in what was left of my car facing traffic in the opposite direction; alive was the first miracle. The second miracle was being admitted to floor 2 and receiving 5-star patient care treatment from Nyla Fisher, RN. She gives me warm sponge baths, deep tissue massages, and breathing exercises, helped me to smoothly ambulate, cleaned my linen often, and provided compassion, useful advice, and demonstrations that are helping me to become whole again because I am broken.
Nyla makes me feel part of the University family. It's hard enough being alone and broken. But when you see that cheerful, positive nurse uplifting you throughout the night, you stay positive and want to do everything you can to assist in the advancement of your treatment, care, and rehabilitation. This is my first time at University Medical Center and I truly feel that my experience with Nyla Fisher and everyone who has serviced or supported me on the 2nd floor that I am in the very best treatment facility in Louisiana. Period!
