I am a 50-year Kaiser member and 15-year employee. I have met and worked with many outstanding providers, but none quite like Olga Gryshko.
I was injured in an auto accident and have required nearly 8 months of specialized care to heal the wounds I sustained. Olga, from day one, has been the most devoted, the most caring and the most professional caregiver. She has carefully tended to my wounds, never once giving up hope, never once becoming tired of focusing on this part of my body.
She has been so thoughtful and so devoted to finding just the right bandages, the right products, the right wrappings and the most correct way of providing care; she has never tired of trying every skill set she has learned in a most gentle, most positive and most caring way, giving me confidence and hope that I would heal.
It isn't easy to heal a 70-year-old body, but Olga slowly and patiently did everything possible to get me to the place of healing where I believe that together we will win this race. Olga consulted with Dr. L and with others; she has questioned a long-standing condition I have had, and she figured out what to do to get the healing on a steady foot and to not allow it to go backward. I so admire her devotion, her steadfastness and her eagerness to try every way she had in her wound care toolbox.
In all this time, although, I was very prone to infection; she did everything she could to outrun that possibility. I believe Olga saved my life. A systemic infection could easily have occurred in a deep wound such as I had, and she absolutely forbid that possibility.
I recognize Olga for her outstanding work and for her compassion and strength and knowledge. She has been outstanding in every way, with her clinical skills and knowledge, her extraordinary kindness and patience and for her interest and concern for my welfare and my healing. She is completely unselfish and devoted, and she has brought me through very difficult times. She refused to allow me not to comply and she overcame and brought me through whatever depressed states I wandered into. She is beyond kind; she is sensitive and caring and professional in every way. I will never forget her, and I will thank her forever for all that she has done and been to me.
