Orlando was nominated by a mother of a patient who he recovered in the ASU PACU. Orlando was nominated because he consistently shows care and compassion to his patients in the ASU, but especially pediatric patients. Orlando truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond to keep patients and parents informed and comfortable:
"Orlando took care of my son while he was waking up from having his tonsils removed about a year ago. I have never in my life met someone who was so skilled, caring, and sincere in healthcare.
Even though I am not on the path to nursing, I found myself thinking if I was a nurse I would want to care for patients like he took care of my son. I'll never forget he introduced himself as "Orlando like Orlando, FL."
