I am nominating Oruene Jack for the DAISY Award in recognition of all of her hard work in the Operating Room. Oruene is in charge of a busy spine service with patients that have very complicated injuries. Her days are filled with changing OR schedules, ongoing physician requests, assisting the staff in the OR, and making sure that every patient has the most positive experience possible. Even though she is always multitasking, she takes the time to check in with every room and assists with every patient. Oruene consistently volunteers to take on extra tasks within the department and does so with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She is highly regarded by the staff and surgeons at HMC. Oruene is truly a team player and we are fortunate to have her in the OR.
