Pam was an absolute blessing during Dad’s hospital stay and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to ease our worries.
My Dad, who can be very stubborn and very anti-hospital, was admitted to the ER, and later to the ICU for COVID. The 2nd night when I called was my first interaction with Pam, and she immediately made me feel like my dad (who was intubated at the time) was in the best hands. It brought a sense of calm to the whole situation because all three of my dad’s kids live 2,000 miles away and we already felt quite helpless.
Per Pam’s recommendation, we began to call the ICU every day, as a group, and she was always very detailed, thorough, reassuring, and kind. Pam set up a video call with Dad once he woke up and it made our day! Once he began his path to recovery, he even stated himself, how Pam was a great nurse and took such good care of him.
Pam was an absolute blessing during Dad’s hospital stay and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to ease our worries. My heart goes out to every healthcare worker in these trying COVID times. Especially the ones, like Pam who are patient and kind to everyone they come across. Truly an angel.
