It has been a long year with my husband being ill. I was so happy to have Hospice come in and help me and my husband through this time. Patty was a godsend. My husband always looked forward to her coming. There were times I didn't know what I should do, and he would always say, "call Patty, she will know"! She is not only was a Hospice nurse, but became a friend we could both talk to. My husband and Patty would have such good conversations and he always had a joke for her!
I know I was in denial about him dying and Patty kept preparing me. At first, I thought, "she's not right, he's going to be fine", but she finally got through to me that he wasn't. I have never known anyone that has the compassion that Patty has. He always seemed better when Patty was here, much more at ease, calm, and at peace. I really miss her now, but I know she is helping someone else and they are so fortunate to have her. God bless her! Also, bless the whole Hospice group, they are such a wonderful group of people.
