Before I even got pregnant, I had made the commitment to breastfeed my child. I know the importance of this from a bonding and health standpoint. When my baby was born, I was devastated and tearful when this seemingly natural process of a mother feeding her child was anything but for me. I suffered sore nipples, a baby who rejected me at times, and all kinds of other problems. I was almost about to throw in the towel until I was lucky enough to have Patty respond to my voicemail at her office. I will never be able to articulate how life-changing her help has been; never be able to express the depth of my gratitude. As a first-time mom, I could only dream of getting the support and guidance I desperately needed from someone as caring, knowledgeable, and encouraging as her. I hope she knows the difference she makes in people's lives is truly valuable.
