Paul is an exceptional asset to the KPCO region. Paul makes a difference to our surgical specialty teams on a daily basis. Specifically, Paul is able to support department initiatives and rollouts for our teams. He is an advocate of the nurses he supports while also being able to meet organizational goals and expectations. He has a way of finessing uncomfortable situations while making the team feel heard and also getting to the end goal. Paul recently supported my General Surgery and Wound Care teams in developing a protocol. This work was challenging, to say the least. With Paul's exceptional guidance and leadership, he was able to facilitate a complicated and extensive process between two departments. Paul was direct in his communication, steering the conversation with the patient at the focus but also listening to the needs of the nurses and APPs on the call. Paul is a stand-out RN for the KPCO team and is 100 times more deserving of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award!
