Peggy is a very kind person. She always greets her coworkers and patients with a smile and a friendly greeting. She always has a positive attitude even in the most critical situations. Peggy is always there to lend a helping hand whether it is to a peer or to another person on the team. She always has a desire to help in every situation. Peggy obtained her CEN (certified emergency nurse) and continues to stay informed of all the new evidence-based education that is available to her. When I work with this nurse, I know if I need help with a patient she is readily available to lend a helping hand. Her co-workers know she has excellent clinical skills and they can always ask her questions if advice is needed. Our hospital is very fortunate to have her!

I would like to recognize Peggy for the work she does with Central Baptist Church in Paoli to assist Paoli ED patients. She coordinates the prayer quilt project for that church. As a patient, Peggy brought the prayer quilt to my bed and had the other nurses join around my bed to pray for me. I will always treasure that memory and that quilt. Then a month later, I observed Peggy doing the same thing for a distraught elderly patient from the nursing home. This calmed her. In both situations, it was very comforting to see Peggy's kindness and compassion.
