Peggy regularly receives ICare nominations from her patients regarding the great care she provides. Recently I received the following email from a patient that highlights her nursing care.

"I had a repair late last year along with a couple of other issues, I was extremely impressed by the quality of service provided Nurse Peggy Gurule.

Each time my husband and I came to the clinic Peggy was especially welcoming and went to great lengths to make sure that I was comfortable and that we understood what we needed to know regarding the process. She patiently answered all of our questions, was an empathetic advocate when the bureaucracy wasn't working, and a dynamo in her ability to work with other staff and offices to insure that all important steps were taken and that we made all of the necessary inter-hospital connections.

Peggy is an exemplar of excellent, compassionate and effective professional service. We weren't always agreeable when there was some bureaucratic failure. Still, Peggy charged ahead in her cheery way and made sure that all was right.

We hope that you and the UNM Hospital administration recognize Peggy for her outstanding work. She is a jewel!
