These are part of a nurse's role, we know, but the level of care and empathy we received cannot be taught in a school. Priscilla was so kind and gracious through it all.
My father went from a craniotomy to ICU, to stepdown, to Priscilla's unit. He has not been improving as much as we had hoped in the last 20 days of admission, but we regained a lot of hope under Priscilla's care.
She was remarkably empathetic and patient and always prioritized finding solutions for us. Beginning with concerns about a UTI (and her quick thinking to order labs and confirm on the spot caught this UTI before it got any worse!), she helped us as a family connect with the nurse case manager to seek follow-up care, multiple bed changes, and describing each of the medications she would give him and what they were for.

We have so much gratitude for her efforts, especially after learning the unit was short-staffed, where she still prioritized my father and ensured he was comfortable and pain-free. Thank you!
