Rachel went above and beyond investing in helping my dad literally get back on his feet and breathing on his own again. She took ownership of her responsibilities, gave honest answers to my dad, and helped us all know what we needed to do to help my dad. She was stern but with love! She made the statement when my dad was talking too much after getting off the ventilator that he had come too far to go backward and that she cared too much for him. This touched my and my sibling's hearts.

We bought into what Rachel said and followed the advice given to my dad. She also got some ice with lemon flavoring, which she didn’t have to do, and made my dad’s day! Amazing nurse and an even better person! I am recognizing Rachel for her excellence in top-quality service. There are many amazing nurses we have experienced at the ICU at Utah Valley , but Rachel truly stands out! She would come in so much and check on him to ensure he was keeping his oxygen level up to prepare for surgery. She was vital to my dad’s recovery to even get an opportunity to have surgery. The most amazing nurse my family and I have ever come across. We love her! Thank you Rachel for everything! She explained that my dad had overdone it and needed to rest, but she did it in such a loving way that we truly knew she loved and cared for my dad.
