My husband recently had a CABG and MVR. When we got to 5E for recovery, we were lucky enough to have Rachel. 
Being a cardiac surgeon who has done thousands of these surgeries, he obviously knew more than most patients, which was tricky at times for the nurses. 

Rachel was warm, patient, professional, skilled, and kind. She knew the balance she needed to be “in charge” of a cardiac surgeon. She dealt with bouts of atrial fib perfectly. 

Rachel made me feel reassured and comfortable. Dealing with my husband was not always easy, but Rachel did it with grace and warmth. 

She is an outstanding nurse. 

Rachel made a stressful time so much easier.

I was a patient on 5 East cardiac for approximately a week. Even though I had good nurses, Rachel was a great nurse.
She went above and beyond her duties, making my comfort and mental state a priority.

My surgery was very intense with a long recovery, and she answered the many questions that flooded my head about the procedure and concerns of recovery.
