Rachel is a shining example of what it means to be a caregiver and medical professional. She's the best!
I'd like to nominate Rachel for a DAISY award. I cannot begin to thank her enough for the amazing care she has given my daughter, over the last year. We've had a couple of scares with our daughter and Rachel has always squeezed her into the schedule to be seen ASAP and has always been really great with listening to us, answering questions, providing information, and following up to see how our daughter was doing. Example 1 - We learned the hard way in April 2022 that our daughter was allergic to Amoxicillin. Rachel got us in right away, asked a lot of questions, and spent the necessary time to ease our concerns. Because she listened, we were able to determine our daughter had Serum Sickness. She followed up with us at night and over the weekend to make sure everything was going well. Amazing, amazing care, really above and beyond. Example 2 - Thanksgiving 2021, our daughter was sick and we took her to Urgent Care on black Friday. A nurse practitioner who saw our daughter (for a total of 3 minutes) said it was a sinus infection. Here's an antibiotic. Our daughter wasn't doing any better and Rachel at Lowell got us in ASAP to see her. We learned then that 1. Nine-month-olds don't get sinus infections and 2. Our daughter had two viruses going on. Rachel made sure the lab tech stayed to do the lab work there at the clinic so we could get a diagnosis (it was late in the day). She then followed up with us at night with the lab results and instructed us to go to ACH. Our daughter ended up being in ACH for 4 days due to dehydration and the viruses. If it weren't for Rachel’s persistence, thoroughness, and care, I don't know what would have happened. A million thank you's wouldn't be enough!! Rachel is a shining example of what it means to be a caregiver and medical professional. She's the best!
