Rachel was diligent in her recognition of the early signs of alcohol withdrawal. This prompted us to initiate the CIWA protocol. I believe her action of speaking up for safety prevented the patient from declining further. We were able to transfer her to a higher level of care, get MSET and the hospitalist involved, and avoid what could have been a much worse situation. Proud of you, Rachel; you rock!
