Since the day Becca started her role as practice learning lead, she has modeled exceptional leadership behaviors and shows compassion to every member of staff, not only in the team but to all that she comes across within her role as practice learning lead. She takes time to get to know her staff, their working styles, and individual needs and is always encouraging them to excel and professionally develop. She shares her enthusiasm for the team vision and ways we can better achieve and help our midwifery colleagues by supporting learners with ambition and new ideas and encouraging us to do the same. Becca has so much passion for midwifery especially here at UHL, she is always trying to promote safe effective care and for us all as a team to support staff to ensure our learners are provided with the best possible teaching opportunities, with our services users wellbeing always being the focus. Becca is an approachable, caring, compassionate leader who strives to ensure we carry out of duties to the best of our abilities providing us with the tools we need in order to do this. I feel lucky to have such an outstanding leader guiding me in my role. There is always a mutual respect and I feel work is a safe space where I can develop and excel in my own role, purely because she excels in hers. Becca deserves this recognition as she personifies all of the trust values and displays all the characteristics of an exceptional leader.
