When you work in the OR, you rarely get acknowledged for the compassionate care you provide to your patients. Often the patients forget the names of the Nurses who care for them, due to the medications they receive. However, patients always seem to remember Reema and the wonderful care she has provided to them. Reema is the most caring and compassionate Nurse there is. She puts every patient at ease with her gentle, caring voice and smile. She takes the time to answer all of the patient’s and their family’s questions to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease. Reema is known for always having a smile on her face. Her positive energy is contagious. The Surgeons always request to work with her because she has excellent clinical skills, is very caring with the patients, and ensures that every patient comes first, is kept safe, and feels cared for and valued. Reema always has a positive “can do” attitude. It could be extremely busy, and she will continue to work hard, support others, and ask, “What can I do to help you?” Reema is selfless, caring, and a wonderful Nurse who is cherished by her peers, our patients, and our Surgeons. Reema encompasses all the qualities of a DAISY Nurse.
