I would like to nominate this person because she treats everyone with respect and integrity, is highly motivated and drives our team with a positive attitude. Our department had no ward manager for over 1 year, and even though she has been with us for 8 months, she has made so many improvements within our team for the better. This member of the team is very compassionate and acts as an advocate for all staff to listen and be a voice if necessary. There are lots of changes to be made in ENT, and she has a vision and all the changes she likes to include everyone, making it a positive environment to work in. Always accessible and responsive to emails when needed. What is really refreshing about this particular ward manager is that she always finds the time, no matter how busy, to ask how everything is and how she can help if it is busy in clinic, etc. She has organised a picnic networking afternoon which has also been nice as it bridges both hospitals together this is something that nobody has done before- ENT is a huge team and most of the staff in KGH have not met colleagues in NGH- so this is also a very important factor that she has thought of.
