Regina made all the difference in my hospital stay. She is someone who has made such a profound impact on me that I will never forget the kindness she showed.
I am currently hospitalized and have been for over two weeks. I was fortunate enough to have Regina as my nurse for 6 of those days. Upon meeting Regina, I instantly knew she was going to be great. Her warm smile and calm demeanor immediately put me at ease. Being in the hospital is never easy for any amount of time, but it gets even harder the longer you are inpatient, making you feel alone, scared, frustrated, etc. Regina could sense when I was feeling those things without me even saying a word, and she was able to use her compassion and kind heart to bring me back to a place of peace. She truly cared about me. I did not feel like just another room number on her list of duties for the day. She brought the human side of medicine to life. She genuinely cared, got to know me, and worked with me to make me feel as comfortable as possible.

I looked forward to seeing Regina every day because I knew she was going to give me the best care she could and was going to put my mind at ease regarding my situation. Regina made all the difference in my hospital stay. She is someone who has made such a profound impact on me that I will never forget the kindness she showed. She is a genuinely good person, not just a good nurse. You can tell this as soon as you meet her. Regina embodies the mission of serving with excellence and love. Healthcare is busy, short-staffed, stressful, etc., and despite all of that, Regina was able to show up every day with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. There are so few like her left in the world. "Thank you" will never be enough for all Regina did for me.

One night, the physician took a very long time to change my diet order from NPO back to being able to eat. This was not done until after dinner had already been served. Regina stayed late and hunted down a tray for me so that I did not go without that night. She could have easily given me a sandwich or Jell-O from the unit, but instead, she went out of her way to make sure I had an actual dinner tray to eat despite having to stay late to do so. The organization, employees, and patients are extremely lucky to have Regina. I am forever grateful.

Thank you, Regina; please never change - you make such a difference in this world!
