Renee utilized her expertise in dealing with an extremely challenging case on the 4th floor. She collaborated with HBS and the clinical nursing team to provide options for transitioning a middle-aged woman with complex medical and psychosocial needs. This patient had a long history of manipulative behaviors to remain in the hospital. She had physically injured and psychologically traumatized most of the staff helping her. Renee used a calm and confident communication style to support the professional team in addressing this individual. She provided resources and support while honoring the patients’ preferences with dignity and respect. Renee is a highly skilled and respected case manager. She is an asset to our department, and it is an honor and a privilege to work with her. I believe Renee exemplifies an extraordinary, compassionate RN.
