Rhonda
Hansen-Boyle
,
RN
Acute Psychiatric
Portland VA Health Care System
I have noticed Rhonda continuously try to improve my situation, my development, my condition, and my rehabilitation.
The ICARE principles I would like to select...
ICARE Principle #1 - EXCELLENCE. Because when Rhonda was asked to follow up with social workers, other VA facilities staff, and even officers outside the Veterans Administration; she was extremely helpful. In the last few days, I have noticed her continuously try to improve my situation, my development, my condition, and my rehabilitation.
ICARE Principle #2 - RESPECT. When Rhonda would ask a question, she isn't rude or continues just to hear herself speak, she will pause and give a chance to hear what I have to say in response, thus showing an uncommon quality in care - that is RESPECT.
ICARE #3 - COMMITMENT. Rhonda really has shown her ability to continuously ask me if everything with me is okay, or if there is anything she can do to help, thus reflecting a commitment to serving Veterans and their families by honoring different programs that by second nature she mentions verbally, frequently, and repetitively. I feel she honestly believes in honoring the VA's mission. To continuously improves the lives of as many Veterans as she can. She is truly a DAISY Nurse.
