He coordinated with the care team for organ donation and made sure we had everything we needed to comfort us and support our family, including ensuring we had quiet time and space to deal with the suddenness of it all.
Thanks to Rich, we now have positive memories from what was initially devastating. He gave us valuable guidance and care, patiently addressing our many questions and helping us navigate the complexities of supporting my brother and honoring his final wishes. He helped us cut through all the difficulties of respectful care of visiting loved ones with wildly varying personalities through his sensitivity, kindness, diplomacy, and tact. Rich, you willingly drank from the firehose and showered us with patience and care in return. Please accept our love and gratitude forever.

My dear friend was taken care of in the Trauma ICU for about two weeks. We are gratefully amazed at the fact that the staff there were able to even keep him alive, considering his extensive injuries. One of his nurses during his time there, Rich, seemed so in tune and compassionate about what my friend was going through. He also seemed to me to be clearly willing to do whatever he could to help in the extremely difficult state our friend was in. Rich helped not only our friend, but also the family and friends as well, since it is, of course, extremely comforting to know your loved one is being treated with dignified professional care. Specifically, Rich called his wife at her job one morning to celebrate with her when his ventilator was successfully removed, which clearly brought her much-needed comfort at such a stressful, scary time
