Ricky’s consistent support and calm demeanor helped me feel more at ease.
I've been struggling with first-time seizures, and the process has been extremely traumatic and difficult for me. When I was admitted to the hospital, I was feeling very stressed and anxious about being away from home. I didn’t want to be here, and I didn’t want to be alone. When Nurse Ricky Auyeung became a part of my care team, my experience completely changed. I felt an immediate sense of comfort and reassurance whenever he was around. He answered all my questions, addressed my concerns quickly, and ensured I felt at ease. Even after long shifts, his positive attitude made such a difference to my emotional state. Despite his evident fatigue, he never failed to greet me with a smile and ensured I was treated with the utmost care. I often asked him if he was okay, knowing how demanding the work could be, and despite being tired, Ricky always reassured me and remained fully attentive to my needs. I could see how dedicated he was to his patients, and it was clear that he genuinely cared. His compassion was unmatched, and I often asked other nurses when he would be back because his presence was so soothing. Having anxiety only made my situation more challenging, but Ricky’s consistent support and calm demeanor helped me feel more at ease. I often felt reluctant to ask for help, but Ricky was always there, reminding me that it was okay to lean on him whenever I needed assistance. He made me feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that I know I will never forget. He made a significant difference in my experience, and I know that I am not the only patient whose worries he has soothed. He is a true example of what it means to be a nurse.
