Robert is amazing and exemplifies nursing! My mother-in-law was admitted to SMH-Venice in January with a Spontaneous Intracranial Bleed. During this short time, Robert cared for Mom and our family. Robert always treated Mom with respect and was so gentle with her. Robert advocated for Mom at every turn and ensured that her last wishes were honored while supporting our family through this difficult time. Robert's kindness and compassion does not go unnoticed.

Without Robert's outstanding communication, compassion, and clinical expertise, her journey towards end of life would have been much more confusing and frustrating for her and our family. Robert explained terminal agitation to our family in a way we could fully understand. He encouraged us to talk softly and not overstimulate her, as this would keep her the most comfortable.

Robert ensured that Mom's wishes were met, and our needs were considered. Mom got home, relaxed, and passed within the next 24 hours, the way she wanted it to happen. Thank you for allowing Mom to fulfill her final wishes. Robert is being recognized for his professionalism and for the difference he makes for families like ours. Our family was so touched by the care received; we expressed our gratitude to Robert in her obituary. Thank you, Robert! We will never forget you or your impact on our family.
