While on the unit one day, the patient was having a lot of respiratory distress and was afraid that she may die. Roberta took care of her all day 7a-7p. When it came time for her to go home the patient asked her not to leave her! Roberta never hesitated to say yes.
Roberta clocked out and went and sat with the patient all night and made sure she was okay until the next morning. The next week the patient had the nursing staff call Roberta and ask her again to come stay with her. It was a morning that we had 2 inches of snow, the roads were bad and it was Roberta's day off. Roberta got up, got ready, and came in and sat with the patient all day.
Roberta is an exceptional nurse and an exceptional person. Roberta is always giving and puts others needs ahead of her own!
