My mom came into Holy Family ER with severe head pain she's been down this road before dealing with her stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. She was dealing with this pain for days and had begun to give up completely. She told me she wanted to go home and die. I couldn't believe those words came out of her mouth. My mom is so strong and brave, I was in disbelief. It was because of Roberta's loving care and compassion that convinced my mom not to give up and to take that ambulance ride down to Milwaukee to continue her fight.
I thank Roberta for being my mom's RN in her desperate time of need. It's because of her my mom's still with me.
