Rochelle had taken care of my mother just a week prior in ICU. She was there for 6 days before she passed. Rochelle was very caring, making sure my family understands everything and she was very compassionate with my mom.

6 days later we had my dad in the ICU when Rochelle saw me. She said "I know you" and gave me a hug. She asked why I was there and when I told her it was dad she said she would be down to check on us later. Even though he was not her patient that day, she took time to stop by and check on us. She gave us great care and compassion always.

There were other great nurses but none that stood out like Rochelle. My dad was transferred to PCU on the 5th day and if I could I would have brought Rochelle with us.

She will never know what her kindness, concern and compassion meant to me and my family during this difficult time.

And the little hug she would give us was just at the right time. She deserves this DAISY Award.
