During the care of my 85-year-old grandfather, Ron went further by consistently informing and reassuring him of what was happening, why, what it meant, but most importantly - he did it all at a level he could understand. He explained why things were done a certain way, and I swear he must have answered the same questions 10 times from my grandmother (early dementia).
Ron was also highly responsive to every call, every need, every question, and every request for doctors, and more. Ron was also great with follow up on every request, so you know it was being attended to.
In memory tests, Ron was creative and asked questions that made both of my grandparents smile. He made the installation of an NG Tube seem flawless with the most minimal discomfort I've ever seen.
But above everything, probably the most crucial of them all, Ron took a patient who is nearly 85 and put him completely at ease. Yesterday he told me he was afraid - as if he thought this was the end. Today, he was smiling and ready to continue treatment so he can go home sooner!
