My aunt, whom we found on the floor after 2 days, was brought in suffering from confusion, hallucinations, and a broken hip. It was actually a very traumatic event for us all. Rosie was in the room as soon as she got up here. Rosie listened to understand, which is so rare. Rosie validated all of my aunt’s discussions, even when they made no sense. She explained clearly what had happened so far and the next steps of care. Rose also informed my aunt before she touched, moved, put a blood pressure cuff on, etc.

Rosie showed such concern for our confusion and emotions. She never seemed rushed and took time to fully listen. At one point, I had finally been away from my child and could release my emotions, and Rosie took some time in the hall to let me cry and just absorb what had happened that night. She listened and was so concerned and compassionate. She came back in later to discuss and encourage my aunt about us being there for her. She was so patient with my aunt’s questions. I had at one time really wanted a soda, and she heard me tell my aunt I had no money. When I woke up, there was an extra soda she had sitting in the room for me. I have been thinking about Rosie every night since, but we have had amazing care from all this time around.
