I, unfortunately, have been hospitalized twice in the last 12 months. Both times, I had the pleasure of having Roxanne as my nurse. Not only is she happy and bubbly every single day, but she also became my biggest advocate when my care team was having trouble with a plan for my care. I was very sick and spent an entire month in the hospital. Roxanne's positive attitude and ability to act as though I was her only patient, when I am very aware she was busy with a full patient load and most days the charge nurse responsibilities as well. Her smiling face kept me in good spirits and kept me from losing hope. Her honesty and dedication to her job helped push for interventions that eventually got my medical issues resolved and allowed me to be discharged from the hospital and get back to my daily life.

Recently, I was hospitalized again, and I was ecstatic when Roxanne again walked into my room! She was just as happy and sweet as I remembered! She remembered me from my prior admission and was concerned I was having the same issues as my previous admission. WOW! To remember me as a patient and why I had been there is extraordinary! She reassured me that the specialist that I was referred to was "great at what she does, and she knows many patients that see her," which made me feel confident that the specialist would also be a great provider and have my best interests at heart. I am so thankful for Roxanne! She is caring, happy, and extremely dedicated to her job, but more importantly, her patients! Roxanne is exceptional and deserves recognition for continuing to provide AMAZING patient care and going above and beyond to advocate for them no matter how much time it may take!
