Roxanne has been awarded for her exemplary service, patient advocacy and continued commitment to excellence. Here are some comments from Roxanne’s patients:
“You were very nice and you treat the patients in a friendly way. Your smile is a hope for us. Thank you.”
“Her dedication to her profession and superb care for the patient which includes (when appropriate) a marked sense of humor that does wonders for the patient’s morale.”
From Roxanne’s peers:
“When other nurses appear busy, she never fails to offer her help. I have seen her assist newly transported patients to their beds and bring supplies to patients' rooms even if they were not her patients. Roxanne is an excellent nurse!”
One night, Roxanne had a patient that was feeling anxious about their condition/situation. As always, Roxanne spent time with the patient and tried to develop a close rapport with her. After spending some time getting to know her, she found out that the patient found strength through their religious beliefs. Roxanne took the time and initiative to find a Bible. She then read the Bible with her patient as well as prayed with her and held her hands. The patient experienced a resolution in their spiritual distress due to Roxanne’s intervention.
