While all the staff who helped my mom were good, Roxanne was exceptional. She was caring, compassionate and treated my mom in a loving manner. She helped my mom on several days during mom's stay, but on her last day, she helped all of us to cope with the fact that mom was going to pass. She helped mom in a gentle way and stayed with mom during the move to the circle of life room. Before she left the room she said goodbye to mom with a huge gentle forehead rub, then came and gave us all a hug before she left. It was as if she was saying goodbye to a family member.
My father, my 2 sisters and I all feel that Roxanne deserves to be recognized for her compassionate, professional and caring ways. She is truly what is good about nursing and healthcare and I wish that every family in the crisis of death could have someone like Roxanne caring for their loved one.
