Roy is definitely skillful and compassionate and because of his care, I will be switching to Banner University for all my medical care.
My story isn’t some great heroic story. My story is about having a nurse for 4 days who truly kept me focused and relaxed while in the hospital – at 74 that’s not easy. I came in after an ablation procedure, expecting an overnight stay. As it turned out, I was told I would be admitted for 4 days to regulate my meds and follow my progress. This of course is never good to hear as I pondered being away from home and not being able to care for my sister and her husband who lives with me (they both have physical and mental challenges, so I take care of them).
I’ve become a little anxious. I have been in a different Banner 11 times in the past few years. When my nurse came in and said his name was Roy, and that he would be taking care of me, I was able to relax. He is a soft-spoken man who is kind, humble, caring, and considerate. He listened to my questions without making me feel less than. He was attentive and addressed my questions about medications and every concern I had with gentle assurance. I have never felt so comfortable in a hospital and would definitely tell my friends about Banner University.
Every morning he walked in with confidence and concern about how my night had gone. He was there for me like a kid brother would be. He listened and never appeared rushed or too busy to dump the urine container or get me a blanket or change my meal because I forgot to call. Nothing seemed to distract him from his job of caring for me. I don’t know what your statement of care is, but Roy is definitely skillful and compassionate and because of his care, I will be switching to Banner University for all my medical care. The entire staff is terrific which is pretty impressive. God bless you all.
