Ryan Hopper cared for my grandpa. My grandparents were taken to MU following a serious car accident. I was impressed by the level of care they both received from all MU staff, but Ryan was truly exemplary. He came to my grandpa's room more times than I could keep track of, always with a ready smile and an easy to understand explanation for everything he did. I appreciated Ryan's friendly, energetic style of care and the positive effect it had on my grandpa.
Ryan stressed pneumonia prevention to us, and he educated me on the importance of encouraging my grandpa to cough through the pain of broken ribs. It's been 2+ weeks and he never got pneumonia! Throughout the day, Ryan demonstrated genuine care and concern for my grandpa, and always treated him with dignity and respect. Ryan didn't just provide great, compassionate care to my grandpa though, he also provided education and empathetic support to my family and me. Thank you, Ryan!
