Samantha Carlantonio has been, by far, the best healthcare provider I have ever had. She has consistently gone above and beyond to not only help me get the usual medical care that I needed but also help me to get additional support that I needed as a Veteran with special needs. She helped me to get a service dog for PTSD (not an easy task), put in special requests for dermatology, radiology, and physical therapy at other facilities for my military-related issues, and worked through a very long medical checklist to help me get a very difficult-to-get job. As a Veteran, it's often very difficult to feel like medical providers not only understand but genuinely care about the issues that plague many of us post-service. Not only was she understanding, but she made it clear that she very much cared. I really hope that Samantha Carlantonio receives the DAISY Award because she absolutely deserves it 200%.
