Clinical Skills: Sara ensured that I was able to track my moods in a way that worked for me. She explained my medications to me when I asked questions and provided me with excellent education regarding my vitals and safety. Compassionate Care: Having Sara as my nurse several times as a patient at PMC was an uplifting experience during an uncertain time for me. She was beyond respectful and kind when I asked questions. There were times I asked whether I seemed manic or not, and she reassured me. Exemplary Service: I cannot explain enough how much RN Sara helped me during my stay at PMC. She was always kind and willing to help. I can’t imagine having patients asking questions and requesting things all day long, but Sara made it seem easy. When I apologized because I felt annoying, she reassured me. Continued Commitment: Sara is beyond deserving of a DAISY Award. She provided EXCELLENT patient care while maintaining excellent therapeutic and professional boundaries. I am so thankful for her help while I was inpatient. Some people show up to work because they need money, nurses like Sara show up because they actually care. Sara showed she cared in many ways, whether it be through a listening ear, providing resources, or obtaining things that I had asked for. I’m so thankful she works in the unit so that other patients may benefit so much from her care.
